People's Daily, Guiping, March 6 (Reporter Wang Yong) Recently, in the Xijiang (Guiping) Modern Shipbuilding Industrial Park Mengxui Area in Mengxui Town, Guiping City, employees of Guiping Hongxin Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. are working hard. It is understood that the shipbuilding industry in Guiping City has a history of more than 30 years. As a key shipbuilding base in Guangxi, the shipbuilding volume accounts for about 70% of the total in Guangxi. Currently, there are 23 registered shipbuilding and repair enterprises in Guiping City (10 of which are above designated size), with more than 600 shipbuilding berths and over 10,000 employees, mainly constructing steel general vessels with a deadweight tonnage of 3,000 to 6,000.
