Hongxin Shipbuilding has started construction on the first batch of "Transportation Large-scale Equipment Update" inland LNG-powered vessels in Guangxi.

On November 12, the first batch of "Large-scale Equipment Renewal in Transportation" and the commencement ceremony for CCS-class inland LNG-powered vessels in Guangxi, hosted by Guiping Hongxin Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and co-organized by Suzhou Zhibang Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. and Zichai Power Co., Ltd., was held at Guiping Hongxin Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. The ceremony was attended by officials from the Ministry of Transport's Water Transport Scientific Research Institute, the Hainan Branch of China Classification Society, as well as relevant officials from Guigang City and Guiping City, who witnessed the signing of related construction contracts between Guiping Hongxin Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and shipowners, as well as Guangxi Qiaotian Shipping Co., Ltd., Guangxi Hongyang Logistics Co., Ltd., and Guangxi Guigang Yiheng Technology Information Co., Ltd.

Officials from the Ministry of Transport's Water Transport Scientific Research Institute, China Classification Society Hainan Branch, and relevant units from Guigang City and Guiping City attended the ceremony and witnessed the signing of related construction contracts between Guiping Hongxin Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and shipowners, as well as Guangxi Qiaotian Shipping Co., Ltd., Guangxi Hongyang Logistics Co., Ltd., and Guangxi Guigang Yiheng Technology Information Co., Ltd.
LNG vessels play an important role in promoting the adjustment of China's energy structure and the green development of the shipping industry. LNG-powered vessels have advantages such as environmental protection, economic efficiency, transportation flexibility, and high performance, making them one of the solutions to promote green low-carbon development, resource recycling, and the standardization and green development of the shipping industry. In less than two years, Guiping Hongxin Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. has built and delivered 11 LNG-powered vessels.
It is understood that on the day of the event, Guiping Hongxin Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. signed construction contracts for twenty LNG-powered vessels with shipowners and companies such as Guangxi Qiaotian Shipping Co., Ltd., Guangxi Hongyang Logistics Co., Ltd., and Guangxi Guigang Yiheng Technology Information Co., Ltd., with a total value of over 200 million yuan. This signing of new energy-powered vessel construction contracts marks a new chapter for LNG-powered vessels in Guiping City.
Representatives from Hongxin Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., Suzhou Zhibang Energy Equipment Co., Ltd., Zichai Power Co., Ltd., and shipowners attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
